Chris Stevens
Profile
Chris studied law at Plymouth University graduating in 2000 with 2:1 honours. During 2001 and 2002 he studied the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law London. Chris was called to the bar in 2002.
Chris joined Fenegan & Fenegan in 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in May 2005. Prior to that Chris worked for Kingsley Napley Solicitors.
In his spare time Chris actively participates in a number of sports most notably cricket; for which he represents Blackheath Cricket Club in Kent, as a medium pace bowler and frustrated batsman.
Utilising his passion for cricket Chris has organised a number of charity matches in support of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Expertise
At Fenegan & Fenegan Chris has established himself within the criminal litigation department acting in serious fraud cases prosecuted by HM Revenue & Customs (formally HM Customs & Excise).
In addition Chris has experience of defending clients’ in general criminal matters such as Firearms offences, Offences against the person and Sexual offences.
Chris is experienced in the appeal process to both the Court of Appeal and House of Lords.
Chris has also assisted in applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC).
